The CPM Program is currently offered in 42 states and by the federal government. The primary goals are to professionalize public management and improve organizational efficiency.

Florida is the largest CPM program in the country, with over 8,000 graduates from more than 100 agencies. Florida's CPM program is administered by the Florida Center for Public Management at Florida State University.
