Jamesha Cox

Jamesha Cox joined the FCPM faculty in August 2026, after serving as a CPM Adjunct. With more than a decade of experience in public sector leadership, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance. She currently serves as a Consulting Manager at KPMG, specializing in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery and Mitigation programs, where she supports state and local governments in navigating complex federal requirements and strengthening program performance.

Jamesha previously served in senior leadership roles with HUD and the State of Florida’s Office of Long-Term Resiliency at the Florida Department of Commerce, overseeing large scale disaster recovery portfolios, audits and fraud risk management, policy development, and legislative affairs. Her career also includes experience as an Inspector General Auditor and legislative aide, bringing a strong foundation in compliance oversight, risk assessment, and public policy to her work.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Applied American Politics and Policy, along with a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration with a concentration in Policy Analysis and Evaluation Methods, from Florida State University. A Certified Public Manager (CPM) and Project Management Professional (PMP), Jamesha is committed to developing public service leaders who can manage complexity, strengthen governance, and deliver measurable results for the communities they serve.
